CONSERVATION
Mar. 63 Secretary (of Interior) Stewart L. Udall said he is more concerned
about the United States conserving its natural resources than with
its getting to the moon….apropos to the Youth Conservation
Conservation Corps, proposed to Congress last week.  The Corps
would be employed to do conservation work.

Jan. 63 Comfort, J. Earl St. Louis Audubon Society Christmas Bird Count - Orchard 
Farm, St. Charles County, within a 15 mile diameter circle to 
include the Mississippi River - Fifteen observers in two parties.
Total:  58 species, 2 addit. Races or subspecies, about 15,070
individuals.  Observers included Dick Anderson, Jim Jackson, 
Kathryn Arhos, Earl Comfort (compiler), et al.  List detailed by
species.

Mar. 63 President Lud Hill has done a marvelous job of revising the 
WGNSS constitution, the first revision since the first draft almost
40 years ago.  And a long overdue increase in subscription rates 
is in order now.  Copies of the new constitution and by-laws can
be obtained by calling ME 1-3090.
Mar. 63 Vital Statistics - Since the beginning of the fiscal year, 30 new
names have been added to our membership list.  Names and 
addresses given.
