Introduction to the regional geology of the United States and Canada with particular emphasis on the large-scale structure and stratigraphy of the Precambrian shield and Phanerozoic orogenic belts. Precambrian geology and tectonic history of Laurentia; the Phanerozoic evolution of North America Cordillera; the structure and evolution of the Appalachian-Ouachita orogenic belt; stratigraphy and mineral resources of the Phanerozoic sedimentary basins.
