Objective:

To study the forces that act on the Earth, how geological materials react to these forces, and the time scale over which they respond.

  Paper:

A short paper concerning a topic discussed in class.  Due date: May 1
Term paper guidelines


  Grades:

The tests will comprise 50% of the final grade.  The homework problems and
lab reports will each be worth an additional 15%.  Term paper will count 20%.
